Carman Franklin standing, hand on hip, in front of an abstract painting.

Rumor has it that our reputation has reached the hallowed halls of academia. Is that true? Absolutely, Carman is happy to tell us.

“In college, my financial planning professor often used Abacus as a reference point—as a fee-only pioneer and as a firm that creatively and successfully breaks the mold in an industry where staid environments are the norm. Because of that, I saw it as an aspirational place to be. Believe me, when the job listing popped up, I didn’t waste a minute applying.”

We sure appreciate that she did. Like the rest of us, Carman has “a service-like heart” and is “drawn to the diversity and complexity” of our clients. “Plus," she says, “working here is fun. Abacus wants you to feel joyful when you come to work—and I do.”
