Abacus Planning Group Receives Best Practice Honor at the First American Psychological Association National Awards Program
The American Psychological Association (APA) presented Abacus Planning Group a Best Practices Honor for an innovative program or policy that contributes to a psychologically healthy work environment. “It is important to note that there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to creating a psychologically healthy workplace,” says Russ Newman, PhD, JD, executive director for professional practice at APA. “Success is based, in part, on addressing the challenges unique to a particular organization and tailoring programs and policies to the needs of its employees.” Abacus Planning Group, a fee only financial planning and investment counsel firm, received the award for its company sabbatical policy that underscores the firm’s commitment to a balanced work-life culture and provides an avenue to help employees flourish both personally and professionally.
